Best selling sedans Top 5

Because of its various types and the wide range of choices, the most important aspect that most drivers concerned is the price.

I would like to post the rest of the top 10 sedan and the most expensive sedan.

5. Nissan Altima

2009 Nissan AltimaNissan’s Altima lands mid-pack with its handsome Altima. Although the vehicle has gone through many changes over the years, the Nissan Altima is still a unique and compelling choice between the Nissan Maxima and Nissan Sentra. The Nissan Altima’s base engine is the stout 175 hp Horsepower (which makes 180 lbs feet of torque). 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder.The Hybrid has a 2.5-liter 4 cylinder gasoline engine is capable of 158 hp (2,800 rpm) and 162 lbs feet of torque (at 4,800 rpm). That is the most powerful 4 cylinder engine currently used in a hybrid car. The top of the line power-plant for the Nissan Altima is the burly 270 horsepower 3.5-liter 258 lb-ft DOHC 24-valve V6. The transmission choices are 2 CVTs (one is electronically controlled and matched up with the Nissan Altima Hybrid) and a sporty 6-speed manual. For a sporty alternative, Nissan recently released the Nissan Altima Coupe which competes directly with the Honda Accord Coupe.

4. Honda Civic

2009 Honda Civic SedanThe Honda Civic is the most flexible platform of any vehicle on this list. The Civic covers many bases with a slew of standard models (both coupe and 4-door), a 4-door hybrid, a very sporty Civic Si 2 and 4-door and a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) 4-door. It’s not unusual to see a Civic squeezing around a corner in a club race, sipping fuel as a commuter or finding a “modified” Civic in a custom car show. Available in coup and 4-door (the Hybrid and CNG are 4-door only) There are no less than 4 engine choices and 4 transmission choices (specific engines are usually teamed with specific transmissions). The overall Honda Civic platform is very flexible and many find the shape of the exterior and interior handsome. Engine choices are the base model’s 140 horsepower (making 128 lbs feet of torque) 1.8 liter 4-cylinder. The Si’s only engine choice is the 197 horsepower (139 lbs feet of torque) 2.0 liter 4-cylinder.  The Honda Civic Hybrid has a 110 horsepower (6,000 rpm) 1.3 liter engine (making 123 lbs feet of torque). The Compressed Natural Gas engine (CNG) has 113 horsepower (which produces 109 lbs feet of torque) 1.8 liter, 4 cylinder engine. The Honda Civic Si gets a 6-speed manual transmission and the Honda Civic Hybrid uses a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Honda Civic CNG uses a 5-speed automatic transmission and the remainder of the line can opt for either the 5-speed manual or automatic transmission.

3. Toyota Corolla/Matrix

2009 Toyota CorollaThe Toyota Corolla is not only one of the top sellers in the Unites States on our list; it is one of the best selling cars of all time. In many ways, the Toyota Corolla is the Toyota Camry’s smaller sibling. They both have a bent towards quality and reliability. The Toyota Matrix is essentially a hatchback/station wagon version of the Toyota Corolla. The Toyota Matrix design is aimed at a more2009 Toyota Matrix youthful consumer as is the sporty Toyota Corolla XRS. Both Corolla and Matrix come standard with a thrifty 132 horsepower (128 lbs feet of torque) 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine. The optional engine for both vehicles is a punchy 158 horsepower (162 lbs feet of torque) 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine. One unique option offered by the Toyota Matrix is all-wheel-drive (AWD). This AWD option comes with the 4-speed automatic. The 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmissions are standard options on all of the front-wheel-drive Matrix and Corolla variants.

2. Honda Accord

2009 Honda AccordIt is interesting to note that the current Honda Civic rivals the size of the original 4-door Honda Accords. The new Honda Accord has grown into a sleek 5-passenger sedan (or coupe) that has some of the best reliability scores of any vehicle built. The Honda Accord directly competes with the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Malibu. These vehicles are fighting for the largest cross-section of consumers in the market and all are very competitive with each other. The Honda Accord has won several accolades for its engineering and performance. The Accord has a base model 177 horsepower (161 lbs feet of torque) 2.4 liter, 4-cylinder engine. The mid-level power-plant is a 190 horsepower (162 lbs feet of torque) 2.4 liter, 4-cylinder and the 271 horsepower (254 lbs feet of torque) 3.5 liter V6 is their top-of-the-line motor. It should be noted that the Honda Accord Coupe has many of the same features of the 4-door in a sleek, sporty package.

1. Toyota Camry

2009 Toyota CamryToyota has made one of the most compelling vehicles for American tastes. In many ways, the Toyota Camry shows more variations on a theme than just about any other vehicle (other than the Honda Civic). With the Toyota Camry, you can option it with just bare necessities along with a slick 5-speed manual and have a comfortable, economical, affordable commuter. Or, lather up the options and build a Toyota Camry that’s a whisker away from being called a Lexus. Just look at the engine choices alone: 158 hp (producing 161 lbs feet of torque) 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, 268 horsepower (making 248 lbs feet of torque) 3.5-liter V6 and the 2.4-liter Hybrid. Its gas engine pumps out 147 hp (138 lbs feet of torque). Sealed Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries store 650 volts. The permanent magnet AC synchronous motor produces 199 lbs feet of torque at 0 to 1500 rpm.

Actually most of the best selling sedans are made by Toyota or Handa.

Maybe the recent reports about the top ranked Hyundai motors on several newpapers are manipulated.....

As you know, the expensive the better (maybe.......)

These are the expensive cars.

2011 Jaguar XJ      JaguarXJ

2011 Porsche Panamera       Porche

2011 Mercedes-Benz S-Class      Bentz

I may list BMW or Audi.

Most of them are cost more than 100,000$.

However, if I have lots of money, this is my choice.

I and one of my friend promised to drive the car someday even by a lent.

Sedan magnificent silence

Sedan: a car with a four-door body confinition and a conventional trunkor a sloping back with a hinged rear cargo hatch opens upward.

SUV is in trend and youngsters like to have crossover vehicle because it's fast, poweful and stylish.

Three doors, coupe, hatch back..... many many brand new type of vehicles are selling in the market thesedays.

However the traditional sedan has lots of choices and drivers can enjoy smooth and silent driving.

Here's the list of the best selling sedan from 10 to 6

10. Toyota Prius

2009 toyota YarisAs of 2008, the Toyota Prius is still one of the greenest vehicles built and is about to have a major makeover. As it stands, the second generation Toyota Prius is the epitome of thriftiness and by making it onto this list; it is obvious that American buyers appreciate this little hybrid. The gas engine is a thrifty 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder that produces 76 horsepower at 5000 rpm while 82 lbs feet of torque are available at 4,200 rpm. The electric motor is a permanent magnet AC synchronous motor. 67 horsepower is available at 1,200 through 1,540 rpm. More importantly, torque is a mighty 295 lbs feet which is on tap from 0 all the way to 1200 rpm. The automatic transmission is an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (ECVT) unit. Steering is by way of an electrically assisted rack-and-pinion. A regenerative braking system that feeds the batteries on energy derived from braking helps with economy. The Toyota Prius achieves a Smartway score with Elite ranking. APS = 9.5, GGS = 10, EPA fuel mileage is 48 city mpg and 45 highway mpg.

9. Chevrolet Malibu

2009 Chevrolet MalibuThe Chevrolet Malibu is a multi-award winning vehicle General Motors is very proud of. Bridging the gap between the small Chevrolet Cobalt and large Chevrolet Impala, the Chevrolet Malibu rests in one of the most competitive brackets in American car sales, mid-sized cars. One of the highlights of the Chevrolet Malibu is the stunning interior. This is one of the first American vehicles to come along (in a long time) to be universally praised for its excellent interior and ergonomics. Several engine choices are available for the Chevrolet Malibu such as: the 169 horsepower (160 lbs feet of torque) 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine and a 252-horsepower (251 lbs feet of torque) V6. Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission.3.6L A six-speed automatic transmission is standard with the V-6 and will be available later in the model year with the 2.4L four-cylinder LTZ – a segment first. The Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid has a 164 horsepower (159 lbs feet of torque) 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine mated to a Hydra-Matic 4T45 four-speed transmission. The motor/generator is utilized as a stop-gap starter and generator mated to the 2.4 liter gas engine. This system is somewhat similar to the Honda system as it shuts down the engine at full stops to save fuel and utilizes regenerative brake technology.

8. Chevrolet Cobalt

2008 Chevrolet CobaltThe Chevrolet Cobalt is based on another useful platform that encompasses the incredibly fast Cobalt SS and is the basis for the Chevrolet HHR. A blistering 260 horsepower (with 260 lbs feet of torque) 2.0 turbocharged 4-cylinder is available with the Chevrolet Cobalt SS. This is one of the fastest front wheel drive vehicles sold in the United States. Available in 2 or 4-door guise, the turbocharged Cobalt SS is also one of the best bang-for-the-buck values out there.  The normally aspirated Chevrolet Cobalt is considered one of the most frugal, standard internal combustion engines offered in the United States. has a 2.2-liter Ecotec 4 cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission (or a 4-speed automatic), the Chevrolet Cobalt is one of the most frugal (and green) internal combustion, gasoline vehicles on the market. Weighing in at a scant 2,800 lbs, the 155 horsepower (at 6,100 rpm) produces 150 lbs feet of torque (at 4,900 rpm) and is easy to motivate around town.

7. Ford Focus

2009 Ford FocusThe Ford Focus is offered in a 4-door sedan and a 2-door coupe. In recent years, Ford has reshaped the look of both vehicles, especially internally. The interior is a very inviting place to be and practical with excellent storage. Two engines are offered, the 140 horsepower (132 lbs feet of torque) is a slightly more sporting option. The Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) engine has 136 horsepower that produces 133 lbs feet of torque (at 4,250 rpm). With “European Inspired” suspension, the little Focus is a joy to toss around the corners. The Ford Focus is the cheapest (and currently the smallest) vehicle in Ford’s American fleet and offers the remarkable SYNC® system. “The voice-activated Ford SYNC® Communications and Entertainment System is optional in Focus SE and standard in Focus SES. This state-of-the-art, voice-activated system fully integrates many Bluetooth®-enabled mobile phones and digital media players.”

6. Chevrolet Impala

2009 Chevrolet ImpalaThe Chevrolet Impala is the largest car Chevrolet makes. A favorite of various metropolitan, suburban police departments and the Federal Government. The Chevrolet Impala has a sturdy, full size platform making it ideal for a variety of different rear seat passengers. Available with an E-85 compatible 211 horsepower (214 lbs feet of torque) 3.5 liter engine or 233 horsepower 3.9 liter V6 E-85 compatible engine in the upper level LTZ. If you opt for the hotter SS model you get a 5.3L V8 engine with Active Fuel Management which delivers 303 horsepower (and produces 323 lbs feet of torque). For its size, the Chevrolet Impala is a remarkably efficient, fine handling car.

Murano VS Santafe

Murano is the best selling SUV in the world is the cross over type SUV.

It is the mixture of the sport coupe and SUV 3500cc, has good fuel efficient.

Even Hyundai car is ranked the top of Ideal vehicle award, Murano is the best seller so I got a comparison report of two.

This is Murano

nissan murano 11 Nissan Murano

This one is Santafe.

Comparison Review

Comfort
Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Hyundai Santa Fe than in the Nissan Murano. The Hyundai Santa Fe offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Nissan Murano, making it a little more comfortable for the driver and front passenger.
Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Hyundai Santa Fe as you will with the Nissan Murano, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.
Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Clearly, the Hyundai Santa Fe is a better financial choice over the Nissan Murano, when considering MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Nissan Murano have similar Destination Charges.
Dimensions
The Hyundai Santa Fe is about the same width as the Nissan Murano. The Hyundai Santa Fe is slightly shorter than the Nissan Murano, which may make it easier to park.
Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the Hyundai Santa Fe transmits power to its wheels a bit more effectively than the Nissan Murano.
Handling
The Hyundai Santa Fe has a smaller turning radius than the Nissan Murano, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.
Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Nissan Murano is clearly the choice over the Hyundai Santa Fe for pulling heavy loads. The Hyundai Santa Fe has a little more horsepower than the Nissan Murano.
Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Nissan Murano. The Hyundai Santa Fe has a roomier cargo area for putting your bags or other items than the Nissan Murano.
Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Hyundai Santa Fe than that of the Nissan Murano.

SUV see the world above

SUV, same as RV, means sport utility vehicle and RV means recreational vehicle.

Like the meaning of the car, SUVis one of multi purpose veicle that is especially for the sport.

Drivers can drive the SUV type cars regrdless of the weather, and SUV has more powerful engine and bigger wheels with thicker tires.

It usually has four wheel drive type and it burns diesel not gasoline.

Because of the fuel and the stronger engine, SUV makes more noise than Sedan but if you want to enjoy dynamic leisure in your life, SUV is the best choice.

This is the definition from the report of the top SUV 2011.

Funny but prohibited car ad

US, actually the cars by Ford and GM are not in thesedays.

So Japanese and Korean motors companies have been fighting seriously so Nissan made quite funny ad.

However, unfortunately this ad was banned to be watched on TV.

Two of neighbors were arguing about which one made a good deal for the recently bought cars.

They have kept the argument for a few minutes and one of the neighbors killed the other.

Then Nissan said out of the fight and the way of being kept in safe is buying Nissan.

Hybrid car

Hybrid is the hottest topic in the car market.

Most mortors companies put all they attention to develop the efficient vihicles.

Actually 'Hybrid' means mixed blood so the engine for both gasoline and electricity are installed in hybrid cars.

This is one of video clips that describes the car with the hybrid engine.

Japanese automobiles are widely famous for the small and compact cars that have quite good fuel efficiency.

Fuel efficiency was not a big deal just about 2 decades ago but now price of the gasoline is getting higher and higher so drivers started to concerning the fuel efficiency even Americans.

People thought the big and luxurious car is the best in the world and good way to platter their wealth but the concept of the car was changed alot then japanese motors companies became popular among the drivers who want to have economical vehicles because they sell cheaper and more efficient cars.

So as all the people expected the car that has the best fuel efficiency is made by Japanese motors company.

The one's name is Prius by Toyota.

Toyota had lots of bad news in US car market but its technology should be repected.

The Prius is a full hybrid mid-size hatchback (a type of car doesn't have independent trunk)

The fuel efficiency of the Prius is 29.2km/l.

Sonata is 21km/l, K5 is 21km/l and Ford fusion is 11.3km/l.

As a result, the fuel efficiency of the Prius is a car of astonishing technology.
